Assignment 19: Idea Napkin, Number 2
Me: Hey guys! So I guess it time to kind of introduce myself again. So lets start with "talents". Honestly I don't think I have any of the normal talents. I am not really good at drawing, I can't play an instruments. I have been told that I am good at writing and telling stories through, so I guess for this I will say that my talent is coming up with ideas. My aspirations are to be able to work in recovery programs for big cats; which would involve rehab centers, repopulation programs, and habitat loss solutions, along with zoos. Which would explain why my idea involves the environment. It would be cool if this became an actual business and I would be willing to donate time and energy to it, but it would defiantly be a change in the plan.
Offering: With Leafy Lifestyles, we are offering a eco-friendly alternative to the products you buy every day. By offering things like linens, candles, soaps, and even air filters. This company is about making your home and eco-friendly environment.Costumers: Because Leafy Lifestyles focuses on home goods, we are problem mostly going to be catering to home owners.
Why would you care: We all live on this Earth, which mean we need to take care of it. Sadly we have not found any place in the universe for us to escape to if this planet is no longer hospitable to us. On top of that we d not have the proper space travel to actually get there.
Why are we different: We are using materials that are already being removed form the environment. The government already spends money on trying to remove invasive plants, with this company we are putting to use a literal that is right now being wasted.
Personally I think that these ideas do fit together. Maybe some connection are not quite as simple, but I do think that everything goes fit in its own way. Not that it is perfect, but it is defiantly a start.
So for My feedback I received that my original ideas was good, but they suggested that the company add the idea to allow people to donate their own invasive plants.
Surprisingly enough this was indeed part of the idea, the reason it was removed was to streamline the idea. I do think that it is a good one though, as I feel that it is an easier way to get people to care about what the company was trying to do. Plus we could try and offer benefits or discounts to our products to these people, to encourage people to help. My only problem is that I personally don't know how to add this idea or how to benefit from it.
Hi Kaitlyn. I think your storytelling skills can be effective for conveying the importance of saving wildlife as well as demonstrating the value of habitat loss solutions. Connecting the troubles wildlife faces to the general public through a good story can increase public support and inspire the next generation of wildlife rescuers. I agree that customers will care about your product offering because we need to take care of the earth. The info graphic you included makes a convincing case for your product. One recommendation I have is to be more specific with your likely customer, while the list of people who can use your products includes many home owners, it can be helpful for marketing purposes to have a narrow target demographic.
ReplyDeleteHi Kaitlyn,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your ideas. I like how you improved and decided to use that image since it is really informative. I agree that we do not have other earth to go to nor the right technology yet, but I think if you could also show how your company respects the environment and wildlife that could also help you increase your client circle. Other than that, good post.
