Assignment 22: Elevator Pitch, Number 3

So everyone we actually have a pitch this week! Going back to assignment 10 I made sure to look at the comments I got form that first pitch when I was trying to correct the comments that were made. Many people asked about the types of products that would be made by the company, so I made sure to try and include some examples of what could be done. I also receive comments on eye contact and body language. Hopefully I would out some of the eye contact issue but I am not completely sure. I know I defiantly did better this time. I tried to also add some body language, but I am not sure it really translated over. I am using my laptop to film this as I have nothing else, and it happens to have a problem with the mic with is why I am seated. I didn't have a long enough pari of headphones. I did move out of my bedroom to record to hopefully making it more professional. Thank guys and remember #productsforpreservation https://youtu.be/5CCzSJd36mc

Assignment 21: Reading Reflection, Number 2

The book Makers: The New Industrial Revolution by Chris Anderson is about the fact that we are in what he descries as the third industrial revolution. The first was of course in 1776 and the one we know form history. The second is the digital age. The third is digital manufacturing, which combines the first two revolutions. This book is related to this class because it is about the generation of Makers, us, and how we are driving the next big economy wave. With our do-it-yourself product design and creation. That this age is the product of millions of garage tinkerers that is going to be unleashed. And this class we are being those garage tinkerers because we are trying to creative innovation with our own companies/businesses. We are creating this new age or at least pushing it forward. I would say that if I was going to make an activity basic on what this book was talking about I would go on the idea of the garage tinkerers. Maybe try and so students a picture of a garage full of ...

Assignment 19: Idea Napkin, Number 2

Me:  Hey guys! So I guess it time to kind of introduce myself again. So lets start with "talents". Honestly I don't think I have any of the normal talents. I am not really good at drawing, I can't play an instruments. I have been told that I am good at writing and telling stories through, so I guess for this I will say that my talent is coming up with ideas. My aspirations are to be able to work in recovery programs for big cats; which would involve rehab centers, repopulation programs, and habitat loss solutions, along with zoos. Which would explain why my idea involves the environment. It would be cool if this became an actual business and I would be willing to donate time and energy to it, but it would defiantly be a change in the plan. Offering:  With Leafy Lifestyles, we are offering a eco-friendly alternative to the products you buy every day. By offering things like linens, candles, soaps, and even air filters. Assignment 18: Create a Customer Avatar

Image
Hey everyone meet Karen. She is your everyday suburban mom living in a four bed, three bath home. Karen probably drives something along the lines of a Subaru may be in the classic blue or green coloration. I imagined her with two and a half kids and probably as one of those soccer moms. She is probably about 30 and spends most of her time devoted to her kids and their activities, but have Sunday sometimes after church she's tries to have a day with the girls. Karen probably watched soap-operas and reality TV shows, like the bachelor. Personally I don't really have a lot in common with Karen, but I would like to get to were Karen is. As in having a family and being in my own home. Maybe in looks we are similar, mostly due to the fact that I played on a white suburban mom stereotype and I myself are blonde and white. Honestly though anyone fits into my segment not just Karen, so really this could be anyone.

Assignment 17: Elevator Pitch, Number 2

Hey guys, Sorry no post here. This has been a week which is sad considering we just got off of spring break. Hope everyone had a good break and did a great job on their pitches.

Assignment 16: What's Your Secret Sauce?

If I had to describe my five unique human capital traits, I would not really know were to to begin. I want to say that I am creative, but I believe that everyone in one way or another is creative. I like to think that I have good leadership skills and have the ability to help meditate between people when necessary. When it comes to project I am always on top of things with organization and scheduling so that it can get done, but those maybe under leadership skills. So I will go with writing; I do end up with grammar issues and spelling, but I would like to think that I can weave a tale when I need to. and lastly I would say that I am ambitious. I always want to see something done and I will see it through till the end. But my friends had other things to say. Things that I personally didn't consider. https://soundcloud.com/carcino98/from-anadasiy My friend and old roommate Anadaisy actually brought up the fact that I am really resourceful. Maybe she used a weird example about...

Assignment 15: Figuring Out Buyer Behavior, Number 2

For this assignment we are back to talking to potential buyers for our business ideas, so for me and Leafy Lifestyles we are back to talk to homeowners, or people who need to buy home goods. I am going to do this by first answering the question that we needed to answer because all of my interviewees ask roughly the same thing. So everyone said that price does matter. All of them they are on some kind of a budget, but they did say that if the product was really good they maybe wiling to step outside of the cheaper products. So quality of the product really did matter to them. It helps to dictate what they are willing to pay for at the end of the day. They did discuss that style does matter. In this case we are talking about someones home, which usually relates to being an extension of who someone is as a person. Of all of my interview they discussed that it depends on the products that they are looking at on where they would buy them. Online for many of them seemed like the easier...
